Jeffrey Bingham Mead is an historian and published author; member of the Greenwich Historical Society; the Second Congregational Church of Greenwich, Connecticut; and the Captain Matthew Mead Branch of the Connecticut Society Sons of the American Revolution. In Hawaii he is the Head Deacon of Central Union Church, Hawaii Conference of the United Church of Christ; an adjunct professor of speech communications and history at Hawaii Tokai International College; and founder of History Education Hawaii, Inc., (formerly the History Education Council of Hawaii), an allied organization of the National Council for History Education.
